The deadline for Medicare Open Enrollment is just around the corner, ending on Monday, December 7th. This will be the last day you can sign up for Medicare, or make changes to your current Medicare plans for 2021.
The deadline to sign up for a new plan or make changes to existing policies for the ACA or Marketplace Open Enrollment (Affordable Care Act/Obamacare plans) is December 15th.
It is recommended to have your policy reviewed by your broker if possible, even if you are happy with your current plan, as plans can change from year to year. It is important to make sure you understand any changes that have been made to your policy, such as rate changes, differing deductibles, as well as other parts of coverage that may have changed. There may be another plan available to you that would suit your needs better. In turn, you may have had changes to your health or income, and those you will want to make your broker aware of also, so they can help you determine if any changes need to be made to suit your coverage needs.
