You may have heard that Medicare will be mailing out new ID cards in 2018 and 2019.  If you don’t receive your new Medicare card by April 2019, call Medicare (800) 633-4227.

Very important: Please make sure your current address is listed correctly with Social Security Administration, the address listed on file is where your new card will be mailed to.

Here is a link to view “10 things to know about your new Medicare card”, published by CMS: https://www.medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/12018-10-Things-To-Know-About-New-Medicare-Card.pdf

BEWARE!  Scam artists may try to get personal information by contacting you about your new card.  If someone calls asking for your information, for money, or threatens to cancel your health benefits if you don’t share your personal information, hang up the phone.  The new cards are free and Medicare officials have emphasized that they will never call a Medicare beneficiary about the new card.

Please feel free to share this information with family and friends that may be affected.
